We went for the "50" Anniversary Celebration Week, it was Amazing and Delicious, through back Menu Prices $5.00 Meals. Meatloaf, Burgers, Gyro Salad Meal, Chicken Fingers and Fries, every item was fresh and delicious. It was super busy but worth the wait time of 20/30 minutes for a table, the Owner and family and service was awesome.

We went there as they celebrate thier 50 years of being in business. The owner of the diner is very nice, curteous and attentive. Hes 85 years old and he was hustling and bustling helping out bust tables also. Dunno if the long wait is common or just for this week where they have a $5. Menu There was long lines of people outside waiting to be seated. The $5. Menu had burger, meatloaf sandwich, chicken fingers, stack of pancake, chicken salad, blt sandwich. My husband was ordering a couple items on that $5. Menu but the waitress said you are only allowed to order but one per person. So, my hubby picked the burger it came with coleslaw and pickle, hamburger with no fixings. I ordered the chicken fingers because the meatloaf was all gone. I asked the waitress does my chicken finger come with fries? She said no, so I ordered some fries. My fries came out first, so my husband cut his burger in half because my chicken fingers were taking to long. Seems like they didn't understand the waitress handwriting and wasn't prepping my chicken fingers. After I ate the half of my hubby burger my chicken fingers come out, it was extremely over cooked and small. Guess what, there was fries with the order. So the waitress informed us wrong by telling me there was no fries included. Meanwhile my husband ordered another burger which again took forever to come out and this time no coleslaw nor pickle came with it. We were pressed for time we thought by getting there by 4 ish we be out in time, we got there at 4 20pm got seated at 5:15 and rushed out at 6 10p. With burger in hand to catch our LIduck game, we had tickets. The owner was attentive to us he even treated each one of us to a piece of his celebration cake. We definitely will give them another try, since it seems like the amount of people showing up mightve been for the $5. Menu just like we showed up. We will see if it will be better next time By the way they have free dessert treats at the desk of chocolates chip cookies.

We love their salad with grilled chicken and pita and their home made dressing. Cooked perfectly chicken not dry and the salad and dressing were excellent!

The food here is great and the owner is so nice! The burger here is great! Also, I have a severe peanut allergy, and the hamburger buns say," Made in a peanut and tree nut FREE FACILITY. Very good service too. Definitely recommend if you are in Wantagh.
